I am a single mother of a seven month old little boy name Elijah. He is my whole world. I try to provide for him the best that I can. I have to provide him with food, diapers, clothes, a warm place to stay and all the basic necessities. Recently I have lost my job due to me having to be out of work because my son has been sick three times with bronchitis and ear infections. He has also had other colds, and he currently has to take breathing treatments on a daily basis and take zyrtec every night for his allergies. I have been searching for another job but I have not had any luck as of yet, so I do not have any money this holiday season. The only wish I have for this christmas is to provide my son with some christmas gifts since it is his first christmas. I want to get him some new clothes and a pair of shoes and a toy or two. I am trying to find some assistance to help me with this christmas wish that I have so that I can give my son some presents for christmas and so he can have the things that he needs. I am a widow with 4 children. The last five years have been nothing but trials and tribulations. I lost everything I ever worked for but most of all is the loss of mu husband of 25 years. He died one year ago. The whole year we were homeless living from motel to motel and sometimes in the car. We would go for days without baths or food. I have been everywhere for help but have not been able to get any. My children look malnourished. I was able to get a place to live in after months of tryng but now we live with no water or electric. I am so grateful to God for allowing us to have a place to lay our head. I cannot afford the deposit for the electric which is I will be able to work again soon when I can leave my kids in the house with utilities. PLease can someone let us know if there is any help out there for people like us. We look normal but do not live like normal people.My christmas wish is that we would be able to have showers, flush the toilet and cook. Please any information out there would help.

            My Christmas wish is that my two children, ages 3 and 11 days (as of dec 15th), have a better life than I do. I was married early this year and in August my husband decided he loved someone else more and moved out. This while I was already expecting our second child.  Then in November he loses his job and now in trouble with the law.  My salary just covers daycare, electric and food nevermind rent or car payment, gas, water or anything else.  Now I am on maternity leave which is half pay and have to leave my house by March 1st.  I've tried to get my children the health insurance through the state and they say it takes two months and I'll have to pay any medical bills and have them reimbursed by medicare if they get it.  I've also called for rental assistance (Section 8) and was told that they aren't accepting any new applications.  So I have no money, soon to have no house and my kids are on a two month wait for health insurance. 

          I wanted my kids not have to worry about money and not live pay check to paycheck but it seems as if they will be in worse shape than I was as a kid. My parents dealt with money issues and unemployment and I never wanted my kids to know about that but it seems as if they are set to deal with it also. In addition they are not going to have two parents who love and support each other or even live in the same town.  It's amazing how you think your life is going great until it all falls apart around you.

Well it gets better... called the car dealership to ask about trade in and was told that if i traded it in I owe 10600 that I dont have. Also, my name is on my husband's car also so now when they repo both cars not only do i have no car to get to work in to make any money but now my credit will be crap. And credit is the only thing I have left...

Have you contacted your local salvation army, toys for tots or church? Almost evry town provides some aid for Children in need on Christmas

i ama single mom of a 5 yr old son and i also take care of my 7 yr old sister. about 4 months ago i was put out of work due to a severe injury that occured. so i am facing back surgery in jan. i had savings for christmas but ue to my injury i have had to use it for bills. i am wondering if anyone can help me give these 2 lovely children a christmas this year. please let me know  if i cant get help they wont have anything come christmas morning.

I am in the same situation as you Amy and do wish you the best. All I can say is keep your head up and I will keep you in my prayers.

This has been a rough year for our entire country I know that. My family has been impacted so severely that we can barely keep our utilities paid, and the rent is past due now. My husband and I have been married for 7 years and together as a combined family have 5 beautiful children. He is an electricians helper and I have been in customer service management for years. We have never really been able to do a big Christmas due to having 5 children and all the responsibilities that kind of family load carries. We try really hard to make up for it through the year by getting them involved in extra-curricular activities, but this year it has been even harder. My husband volunteers as a youth soccer coach on average 30 hours a week and even though the broke his back in September and has not been able to work has still attempted through the pain to keep his commitment to not only our children but the children in the community as well. I lost my job a month ago after 2 years at local car dealership and now we can't make ends meet. Like I said our children have never had that magical Christmas that I have dreamed for them. My oldest is 15 and I am afraid that he may never have that experience. As it stands at this point there will be NO Christmas in our house this year and that thought breaks my heart. If there is anyone out there who would be willing to help or knows how I can get some help please contact me. Also if there is anyone who knows of ANY job openings in the Brunswick County NC area please contact me. Our family works hard to take care of each other but right now we seem to be falling short on the financial end. Thanks.

I live in Georgia and like so many others the economy hit our family hard. I attend school trying to make a better life for my family and 2 weeks ago my husband was layed off. He is applying for unemployment benifits however I think that will be just enough to live on. I have an appointment to recieve food stamps in a couple of days and that will be a blessing. The only help I am looking for is a few gift to give my husband and son and daughter. I know that they would be fine without recieving anything but my love for them is so great that I would like to brighten their christmas. I know this is a tough time for all of us so anything would be great. Thank you for your time and help!!!

My husband and I promise to our kids every year that this year we will take them and ever year we break our promise,I don't want to this any more because I am teaching my children to lie and I am not being a good roll modle to them. So  few month ago I told my children that we are going to save money to go to Disneyland and so fare we saved around $100.00 and we need a lot more. So please help me make my childrens dream come true this will make my children soo very happy that I can't even explain. I love my children very much and I do everything for them. Hello my name is Gayle,I am a 31 year old house wife I have been married to my wonderful husband Joe for almost 12 years

I take care of my mom due to a stoke back in 2000 and in may of last year she was diagnosed with diabetes when she almost fell in to a diabetic coma

I cant work because I have IBS which in turn caused me to become agoraphobic (which is a fear of leaving my house) I have had this problem since I was 16 and was unable to finish school,I even had to have my wedding in my front yard.

I love to help people whether it is through donations (which am not able to do as much as I would like) or helping them find ways to make money online or just as a friend to chat with.

I am getting a paypal Christmas found together so I can do Christmas for my family this year (since I have not been able to do any for the past 2 years)and thought if I could just get some people to donate $1 or $2 maybe I could do a good Christmas..so here I am asking that if any of my friends on here could help out I would greatly appreciate it God Bless you all

My name is Lisa Shelby.  I am a mother of 2 young boys and a 5 year old girl.  I have had a really hard year and will not be able to provied my children with a Christmas this year.  It is really hard because I have three wonderful children, and my oldest two children will be making Christmas crafts in school  to put on the Christmas tree  ( that we do not have) my daughter tells me what she wants for Christmas and all I can say is we will see. It is not a hard choice I can pay for the bills and food or I can pay for gifts.  I love my children so much and that is why I have to do what is right for them and pay the bills.  I have sat down with my children and I have told them that Christmas is not about what you get from santa but about giving and about being with the people you love most.  I hop they understand.  I am not a greedy person nor and I trying to spoil my children I just want to give them a few gifts on Christmas.  If anyone could help with anything it will be greatly apprecaited.  Thank you all and God Bless.  Lisa
